PURPOSE:To enable a rapid detection of a trouble in a printer circuit, by a method wherein a dot data from a character generator, a drive data of a magnetic driver, and a count data of a timing pulse counter are individually checked. CONSTITUTION:It is checked whether or not a dot data from a character generator CG mounted in a ROM18 is the same as a given parity data. It is checked whether or not a drive data of a magnet driver in a print drive circuit 23 is the same as the dot data from the CG, and furthermore, it is checked whether or not count details of a pair of timing pulse counters in a RAM19 are the same to each other. A CPU16 performs the inspections, and in case either of them does not coincide, it is determined that a trouble exists in a printer circuit, and an error processing the conducted. This permits the rapid detection of the trouble in the printer circuit. |
