Brazing device for thin-walled nonferrous tubes - using round bar around which sheet metal is bent

A round bar is used with min. length that of the tube placed round the bar, which is underneath a horizontal arm of the same length as the bar. The arm carries a punch driven downwards to make the brazed joint. Punch carries an elastic limit stop for the outer longitudinal edge of the pipe, and a second elastic limit stop is displaced vertically and used to control the circumferential length of the lap joint, and alongside the punch is at least one burner which extends over the entire length of the punch or can be driven in a direction parallel to the length of the punch, which is pref. driven by work cylinders mounted on the horizontal arm. High strength joints are obtd. by combined pressure and heat, e.g. in mfg. zinc drain pipes.
