The shaped paving stone, for interlocked paving on roads, public squares, paths, etc., has undulating or saw-tooth serrated edges on all its sides. Opposite end faces (1) of the arms of the cross may be shaped parallel to each other, with two or more full sinusoidal waves. The arms may be of the same length, or of different lengths. Opposite side faces (2) may also be shaped parallel to each other, and incorporate at least one sinusoidal wave. Such a stone can be laid with any of its side faces against an adjacent stone, with resultant bonding affording equal resistance to thrust on all sides.
|
