PURPOSE:To produce an information recording member in a simple and highly accurate way, by providing an information recording layer which is turned insoluble to an aqueous alkali solution with irradiation of light containing In, Se or S onto a conductor. CONSTITUTION:An alloy film of In-Se or In-S is evaporated on a substrate 31 by a resistance heating method, for instance, to form an information recording layer 32. Thus an information recording member 30 is obtained. Then the member 30 is turned, and the argon laser beam modulated into a pulse form through an optical modulator is condensed and irradiated to the layer 32 to perform a recording of information. As a result, an insoluble part 32a is formed to acid at the area of the layer 32 where the laser beam is irradiated. The layer 32 is then etched by an aqueous alkali solution to secure the residue of the part 32a irradiated by the laser beam. Then a light curing resin 35 is provided on the residual surface of the part 32a, and a light-transmittable substrate 41 is press-fixed to form an uneven record information surface 43. After this the resin 35 is hardened. Then the Al for instance is evaporated on the resin 35 to form a reflective surface 36, and a protective resin film 37 is formed on the surface 36. Thus an information recording medium is obtained. |
