PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium with which a sufficiently small pit can be formed with a low recording power and without any disturbance of form to ensure a good recording of information, by forming an information recording film with use of an eutectic alloy containing Bi. CONSTITUTION:An information recording film 22 is coated on a smooth main surface 21a of a light transmittable substrate (such as an acrylic substrate) 21. In such information recording medium 31, the film 22 is formed with a metallic layer of an eutectic alloy composed of one type or more of (a) Bi and (b) Pb, In, Cd and Sn. |
