The invention concerns a power divider which can be placed in a rectangular waveguide, for example at the end of a waveguide where the energy transmitted through the waveguide passes into free radiation. The power divider consists of a waveguide section P with two, or possibly more, H-shaped slots H1, H2, lying side by side with the vertical strokes parallel to the short sides of the waveguide W. One such section P with two H-slots H1, H2 will divide the power with roughly half in each slot. When placed at the waveguide opening, the field distribution over the aperture is altered in a direction parallel to the long sides, so that the width of the lobe of the outgoing beam is decreased in said direction, or in other words the directivity is increased. <IMAGE> |
