<p>PURPOSE:To prevent vehicle accidents by giving an alarm when a vehicle has approached to another vehicle or an object to a dangerous distance. CONSTITUTION:A detector 2 for an obstacle on approaching, which is mounted to a vehicle, normally generates a signal corresponding to a receiving time of an ultrasonic wave. When the signal generated by the detector 2 becomes equal, in its value, to a reference signal set on a comparing detector 4c upon an approach of the vehicle to an object such as, for example, a building, a signal generated by the comparing detector 4c becomes zero, and a display unit 5 is energized to illuminate a red indicating lamp, which compels the driver to keep the vehicle from approaching to the object further more by braking the vehicle. While when the signal generated by the comparing detector 4c is zero and a display unit 5c is energized, a logic circuit 6 is established for operating a alarm 7 so as to call driver's attention.</p> |
