PURPOSE:To prevent the oxidation of steel wires during the heat treatment in order to keep the quality of the wires constant by providing a waste oil tube buried in the effluent oil of a waste oil tank in the lower part of a line connecting with the hardening oil tank at the end of a heating tube provided to a heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:A hardening oil tank 3 is provided in the progress direction of steel wires in a heating furnace 2 through which plural heating tubes 1 are passed. Waste oil tubes 5 are provided close to each other on the entrance and outlet sides of the hardening oil tank 3, an oil storage tank 6 is provided below the waste oil tube 5, and then the waste oil tank 5 and the oil storage tank 6 are connected with an oil feed tube 7. The end of the heating tube 1 is connected to the hardening oil tank 3, and below the connection, a waste oil tube 9 to be dipped in the oil of the waste oil tank 5 all the time is provided, through which hardening oil 8 inside the hardening oil tank 3, which is to be flowed into the heating tube 1, is discharged. Thus, steel wires can be introduced into the hardening oil tank 3 after being heated without being touched by air. |
