Improvement in manufacturing the top of a billiard cue is described. Commercial manufg. process of the cue top can be stated as punching and finishing nonfatted raw leather thereby leaving much waste scrap. In this invention waste scrap is utilized. Waste scrap is granulated, the fat removed, treated with PVA and blended with mixt. of melamine resin acrylic ester and ammonium chloride. It is followed by moulding, heating 70-80≦̸C under pressure, subsequently released and dried at 170≦̸C.
