PURPOSE:To make a measuring device compact and stabilize the accuracy of distances measarement by measuring the distances up to an object stepwise by a contrast system. CONSTITUTION:When a shutter release button is depressed, a release interlocking lever 7 turns clockwise around a fulcrum shaft 26, and a prime moving gear 6 begins to be rotated counterclockwise by the accumulated elastic force of a prime moving spring 12. Thereby, a driven pin 17 is moved in the cam groove part of a cam groove 18. On the other hand, while the pin 17 is moving in the cam groove part, a conductive contact piece 22 is so arranged as to contact with a conductive contact piece pattern part 19 and therefore a distance decision circuit 4 detects this, and evaluates the contrast of the object image projected into a photodetector 2 by an imaging lens 1 based on the photoelectrically converted output from the photodetector 2. |
