The machine separates into two discharge currents an incoming mixture comprising different solids. It has a decanting vessel (1) containing a liquid whose specific gravity is between those of the solids forming the two discharge currents, the solids to be separated being delivered into this liquid (11). A vibrating conveyor discharges the solids decanted into it. An overflow (12) from this vessel supplies a drain vessel (14) with a filter bottom collecting the solids, with a second conveyor for discharging the latter, while the liquid drains into a tank (4) underneath, for recycling into the decanting vessel.
