<p>Emulsifying appts. comprises rotatable perforated discs spaced apart along the axis of a closed cylindrical tank, the discs being mounted on an axial shaft for rotation by motor. Adjacent to the ends of the tank, inlets for the liquids to be mixed and an outlet for the emulsified prods. are provided. Used in fields of food, coating, cosmetics or heavy oil combustion. In the latter, water-drops of 2-10 microns can be dispersed in oil. Employs min. amt. or no emulsifying agent. Absence of such agent in oil combustion eliminates combustion nozzle blocking.</p> |
