PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform orderly instruction of the inspection and diagnostic items for all automobiles regardless of the types and dimensions by selecting and indicaing the inspection items stored in accordance with the type numbers based on the specifications of the automobiles. CONSTITUTION:The type number which is expressed by a plurality of digits based on the specifications of automobiles, the dimensions of engines, and the like is retrieved and set in a type number input device 3a of a console 3, and said type number is inputted into a CPU11. The CPU11 sequentially selects the inspection items corresponding to the type number from an inspection item memory circuit 13 wherein the inspection items for all of the automobiles are stored, via an inspection item selection circuit 12. Said sequentially selected inspection items are displayed on a display 5, and the orderly display of the inspection and diagnostic items required for all of the automobiles can be performed. |
