<p>The heating circuit includes a set of solar collectors, a natural underground reservoir, used as a thermal store; a heat exchanger, transferring heat to or from the reservoir and a heat exchanger to transfer heat to the heating system from the reservoir. A heat exchanger transfers heat from the solar panels to the system and a set of 3-way valves enable the different circuit combinations to be selected. In the hot season solar heat is transferred to the underground reservoir. During the intermediate season(s) the heating system is supplied with heat solely from the solar panels. The third mode is selected during the cold season, when heat is extracted from the reservoir as well as from the solar panels.</p> |
