<p>The pigeon hole door (3) pivots (9) about an horizontal or a vertical edge, retracting into the compartment once pivoted open through 90 degrees. The door slides parallel to its major faces to retract, using a double guidage system (11,18) which is applied to the two sides normal to the hung edge (3a). The system affords alignment which increases as the door penetrates the compartment, using a cupboard-mounted fixed roller (18) together with a door-mounted slide (11). An angle iron (14) may locate roller (17,18) which is engaged by a door-mounted 'U' section track (5). A flange (16A), which is engaged by forked slide (11) outstands (11b,11c) is formed on the angle iron. Cantilever arm (8) fixes to one slide (11) to locate the hinge pin (9).</p> |
