<p>The fishing reel comprises a drum turning on a frame and with an internal friction brake manually actuated by an external control portion. A locking device holds the latter in the working or rest position. The control portion is formed by a member (20) sliding at right angles to the axis of rotation (10) of the drum, and having a first part supporting a compressible brake shoe (28) acting against the inside of a cylindrical component (30) fixed to the frame. A second part is slid manually against spring action in the direction of movement of the member and in one direction only. The locking device engages after a first movement of the member in this direction, and releases after a second movement in the same direction.</p> |
