The pieces are arranged in three similar, superimposed layers. Each layer contains several rows with pieces end to end. Each layer has the same arrangement of several different, standard sizes of sugar pieces. In this way, a sub-assembly block of one size of piece extends right through the layers. Pref. the pieces in the box inlcude three standard sizes of loaf sugar with length and wt. proportions of 5,4 and 3. The package makes one-handed selection of a chosen size of piece much easier.
