The fire door uses two sliding leaves (1,2) on parallel offset tracks, the leaves moving into a retracted position one behind the other to open. The trailing and leading edge of the leaves overlap at door closure and the leaf edges co-operate with one another or the framing fixtures to form transverse baffles. An angle iron (21,21') may be fixed to the head of each leaf using downhand flanges to form grooves (20) against the major leaf faces. Another angle piece (15) fixes to the lintel (8), providing upstand flanges (17,18) which house into grooves (20) to form the fire cut-off. The foot may use sections (24,35) with flanges (31) with runners (30) which project into sill grooves (32).
|
