<p>1531606 Sterile packages PROPPER MFG CO Inc 2 Aug 1976 32110/76 Heading B8K A sterile pack blank comprises a porous substrate 11 and a plastics film 20 overlying the substrate and adhesively connected thereto, to form an enclosure having an inlet formed by an end flap 26 of the film being folded back on to the film. The substrate which may be of paper, board, or bonded fibres has an adhesive track 12, and the film which may be of clear polyethylene, polypropylene, or polyethylene terephthalate is coated with adhesive which may be of a selfadhering rubber latex. The tackiness of the adhesive coating prevents inadvertent slippage during removal of the contents from the pack. The blank is closed by folding the flap 26 on to the substrate and is opened by pulling the bottom end 24 of the film away from the substrate. Chemically active inks 17<SP>1</SP>, 18<SP>1</SP> are printed on both the inside and outside surface of the substrate and change colour on sufficient exposure to a sterilizing steam or ethylene oxide respectively.</p> |
