<p>The control is for the wheels of a tractor drawn agricultural implement or load hauler where a vertical clumn (19) carrying a lifting arm (31) is mounted on two wheels. Each wheel is attached to a vertical spindle with a traction rod between, so that they can be tilted about a vertical axis. They are steered by a linkage with two sections (1,2) connected by a hinge. One end is attached to a wheel, and the other to a control. This includes a crank which converts vertical movement into horizontal movement, with two further arms (10,12) connected by a hinge. This also includes a brake which locks the wheels to prevent backwards travel.</p> |
