<p>The machine crushes stones present in a flexible mat formed by fibres being especially for flax before further processing. It comprises two toothed wheels (1,2) on parallel axes one above the other, and driven in synchronism so that the teeth of one fit in the gaps between those of the other. The centre distance between the wheels is such that space is left (13) between the teeth (7,8) through which the flax mat (14) passes without damage, while the stones are crushed. The space between can be of sinusoidal form, and the wheels can be identical.</p> |
