The device is supplied with fuel via a pump (34) and a magnetically controlled fuel injection valve (40). The pump (34) comprises a membrane pump which exhibits a constant supply press. with the injection valve (40) operated intermittently by pulses supplied from a control pulse generator (37). The heating device may be used to heat water circulated via a water pump and it has a burner (26) with a burner pipe (27) and burner chamber (28) together with an electric fan (29) coupled to primary and secondary air feeds (32,33). The fuel injection valve (40) injects the fuel into the primary air feed (32). The heating device is pref. also provided with a control thermostat (46) and an overheating protection (48). The heating device is easy to mfr. and is unaffected by gas bubbles.
