<p>The plug housing (12) contains a pair of contacts (24,26) in one pole (18). These contacts are operated by a cam (48) on a spring loaded pin (34,50). When the plug is withdrawn from the socket the spring (50) pushes the pin (34) forward and a spring loaded plate (52) moves over the inner end (42) of the pin. The projecting end (38) prevents reinsertion into the socket, and also the contacts are open. To reset the plug a key (64) has to be inserted and turned to move the blocking plate (52) to one side. The plug can then be pushed into the socket. The pin retracts and the cam (48) closes the contacts (24,26).</p> |
