Directional sound reproduction system - uses two loudspeakers, one facing horizontally and one at angle to listener with feedback control from microphone

The arrangement simulates the sound indication of an auditorium or concert hall by using two speakers instead of one. A first speaker (1) is arranged to face a listener directly to his face. The second speaker (2) is placed for above the first speaker facing the listener and an angle of delta from the line of the first speaker. A microphone is positioned at a point corresponding to a listener's ear. Its output controls a graphic equaliser (7) in the path to the second speaker. A controller switches selectively between the two speakers so that circuitry associated with the microphone may compare the signals.
