The executive brief-case is made of two plastics halves joined together by a hinged strip. The two narrow sides of the two halves have support bars which can be pulled out. The side connecting bars are made of linked expanding links which open in scissor formation. The expanding bars are screwed, near the lid or the base of the case, to the sides of the plastics halves. The carrying side of each half has a grip or fastening strip underneath which is a hole to allow the user to grip the handle, and a lock.
