<p>The vertical connector heater with ribbed vertical heating tubes, has these tubes supported above a water trough. Parallel to the tubes is also supported an evaporator strip (13) of flexible material with its base immersed in the water in the trough. This strip is attached to a support made of suitable material so that its ends (14) can be doubled over to grip the ends of the strip. In another design, this support, which itself is strip shaped, has holes through it, and its ends are zig-zag shaped. This enables the evaporator strip to be inserted, and retained there due to the resilience of the ends. Further designs are also described.</p> |
