Vertically adjustable vibration device for compacting concrete elements with the aim of eliminating a lowering apparatus from the transport systems without using a complicated control device. This is achieved by mounting the stationary vibration device on pneumatic springs which, in addition to their function as vibration insulators, also make possible vertical adjustment by filling or venting. The top working layer is determined by adjustable springs, by means of which, irrespective of the position of the centre of gravity of the mould, adaptation to the technological requirements is possible. Apart from in the concrete industry, the invention can be used for shaping and compacting cohesive bulk materials, moulding sand or other suitable media in moulding devices by other industrial sectors. <IMAGE>
