The arrangement provides graphic representation of information by rotatable elements (1-4) which are arranged to form a matrix, as in known practice. The cylindrical elements have differently coloured peripheral segments and are contained in a layer of transparent liq. (7) whose density, viscosity and refractive index are selected so as to permit light transmission through or by, and rotation of the elements about their axes. The elements are illuminated, e.g. in axial direction from one end, and produce a coloured image on a transparent panel (5) facing their peripheries.
