The slide projector has a slide holder for a frame which moves between the magazine and the projection position and with two clips at the bottom edge to grip under the slide. The upper edge of the slide is gripped by a V-groove strip which is pressed onto the top of the slide by a spring. The slide is securely gripped and moves between the magazine and projection without vibration. The sprung upper grip strip is located in slots in the top of the frame and has some vertical movement to cover wide tolerances in slide size.
