The method and the device for its implementation allow the manufacture, from sections of carpets, of plates and specimens of moquettes and carpets having precise dimensions and angles. In a first step the material is aligned with respect to a longitudinal edge on a dressing table (3) provided with oblique rolls (4) and cut along its length in several strips of the same width by means of several rotating circular knives disposed within an enclosure (7). In a second step, the strips are brought edgewise and without slipping towards a transversal cutting device (26) where they are cut in plates by a knife working on a hard surface. The cutting operation is controlled by a pulse control coupled to the feeding device in accordance with the feeding. Devices (32 to 36) for dressing, cleaning, labelling and stacking of the plates or specimens of moquettes are disposed after the transversal cutting device. The material is fed continuously in both step. |
