PURPOSE:A yarn defect sensor and a yarn-cutting mechanism are provided to detect yarn defects such as slub or nep, cut off the defects, connect the yarn and spinning is continued to make it unnecessary to remove yarn defects on rewinding, thus saving man power. CONSTITUTION:A roving is passed through the draft mechanism consisting of rollers 1-3 and the yarn-forming mechanism consisting of conveyor band 4, pneumatic system 5, false-twisting nozzle 6 to form a spun yarn. Then, the yarn is passed through the yarn defect sensor and, when a defect such as slub or nep is detected, the yarn cutter 9 cuts off the defect part. At the same time, the signal from the sensor 10 call the yarn connector 12, which connects the yarn ends after removal of the yarn defect part. |
