PURPOSE:To ensure easy-to-see printing for a record type electronic calculator, by securing a key input for the units of a hundred million, a ten thousand, etc. and thus giving control so that the decimal print position is shifted to a print positon of high order. CONSTITUTION:The length of a print hammer H is smaller than the length of a print drum D. With operation of a key of a hundred million, a solenoid SL is driven to shift the hammer H to the left, i.e., toward the print positon of a higher order digit. As a result, printing is carried out from the position of a high-order digit of the drum D by an amount equivalent to the number of digits of the hammer H. In case no operation is given to the key of a hundred million, the solenoid is not driven to give no left shift to the hammer H. As a result, printing is carried out from the position of a low-order digit of the drum D by an amount equivalent to the number of digits of the drum D. Thus a clear distinction is possible for the position of printing on the recording paper RP between the use and the no use of the hundred-million key. As a result, easy-to-see printing is ensured. |
