PURPOSE:To prevent wasteful attachment of toner to a photoreceptor, by controlling an exposure destaticization size in copying a reverse side in accordance with surface copying magnification and reverse side magnification. CONSTITUTION:Given information, such as a magnification designating code, recording paper size, front and reverse side copying are fed to the microcomputer of a lamp control unit 200 in copying the reverse sides. At that time, the microcomputer controls erasing lamps IL1-IL4 through a lamp driver to expose and destaticize the reverse sides to a size correxponding to a reverse side copying magnification when the reverse side copying magnification < the front side copying magnification. When that of the reverse side > that of the front side, exposure destaticization is made in accordance with a smaller size of any side, that is, that corresponding to the front side copying magnification, thus permitting wasteful attachment of the toner to a photoreceptor to be avoided, increase of staining of images due to change of magnification to be prevented. |
