PURPOSE:To facilitate an input of a pattern and thus realize the simplification and miniaturization of a pattern input system, by using a line of red or other colors which encloses a symbol and a character in addition to a symbol, a character and a segment of line on a circuit diagram. CONSTITUTION:A circuit diagram is scanned not only to extract the segment of line connecting the symbols enclosed by a red line but to cut out the symbols enclosed with the red line. The pattern of the symbol to be drawn on the circuit diagram is collated with a dictionary that is registered preivousely in the form of a dictionary pattern by the same technique as the cut-out of symbol. As a result, the circuit diagram need not to be handled as an image data. Thus the quantity of memory can be reduced to realize not only the simplification but miniaturization of the system. |
