PURPOSE:To simplify the various controls such as cutter control, by identifying the transmission period of a video signal, through the control of carrier leakage on or off-state during the period when it is in a given relation with the transmission period of the video signal. CONSTITUTION:A timer 21 is operated when a transmitter starts a given operation, and it is informed that the phase matching period is on going over the entire phase synchronizing period to a carrier leakage control circuit 22, switching control circuit 1 and subscanning control circuit 23. With the output of the circuit 22 receiving this information, no transmission of the carrier leakage signal is made from a modulation circuit 4, and a circuit 23 stops the operation of the subscanning mechanism. Further, a circuit 1 selects the phase signal from a phase signal transmission circuit 2 and supplies it to the circuit 4, modulates the carrier from a carrier wave generating circuit 5 with the phase signal and transmits it to a transmission circuit 9. The signal from this circuit 9 is received at an input circuit 10 of a receiver, carrier leakage is detected at a carrier leakage detection circuit 25, and the operation of a cutter control circuit 27 during the phase matching period can be stopped. |
