The safety control circuit is partic. for an eccentric press with friction clutch, having a two-handed control and two electrical pushbuttons each with an opening and a closing member actuating relays in automatically protected switching circuits supplied from a control voltage source. The opening and closing members of the two pushbuttons are each directly connected to the poles of the voltage source. The buttons are also connected by terminals to the relay circuits and to each other so that with the two buttons in the same position the terminals have opposite potential. With the buttons in different positions the terminals have the same potential.
