PURPOSE:To improve the connection efficiency with optical fiber with a greater directivety by varying the shape of a light transmitting resin with proper change of the area in a step for fixing elements on a stem. CONSTITUTION:The size of a light transmitting resin 3 is determined by the first part 11 of a stem 1. A step is set at more than 1mm. with due consideration given to the viscosity of a resin 3 so as to maintain the given shape minimizing the outflow of the liquid resin applied here to the second part 12 over the step 10. With such an arrangement, the light transmitting resin can be latered properly thereby ensuring a higher directivity of LED. Thus the connection efficiency with optical fiber can be improved. |
