PURPOSE:To increase the strength of a rotor by eliminating subslots by a method wherein a slot bottom conductor end is provided with a shaft-wise ventilating hole extending outwards from a slot end to take in a refrigerant. CONSTITUTION:The end part of the bottom coil conductor 41 of the slot 2 in a diagonal flow type gap pickup system field coil 4 is provided with a shaft-wise ventilating hole 7A which extends outwards from the end part of the slot 2. The bottom of the coil conductor 41 is also provided with a refrigerant intake 9B. The ventilating hole 7A communicates to a diagonal flow type ventilating hole 7 through a radial ventilating hole 7B and a shaft-wise ventilating hole 7C. A subslot that is a conventional provision of the bottom of slot 2 can thus be eliminated and this vulnerable part of the rotor shaft can be made much safer. |
