PURPOSE:To enable the detection of a failure of an inverter device rapidly, by providing a single current detector to the inverter device wherein each of two capacitors to divide a voltage has a discharging circuit. CONSTITUTION:A discharging circuit 4A comprising a capacitor 4 and a discharging circuit 11 is connected through a current detector 8 to a discharging circuit 5A comprising a capacitor 5 and a discharging circuit 12. In addition, an inverter 7 is connected in parallel to the detector 8 and the discharging circuit 4A connected inseries, while an inverter 7 is connected in parallel to the detector 8 and the discharging circuit 5A. Accordingly, if either of the inverters 6 and 7 occurs trouble, the current resulting therefrom is detected by the detector 8, and a switch 2 is opened, so that said inverter is protected. Thereby, the trouble in the inverter device can be speedily detected with a single current detector. |
