PURPOSE:To enable the position of a linear pulse motor to be detected with a single magnetic material and reduce the number of assembling processes and the material cost, by separating the leg parts of the magnetic material from each other by a given pitch with respect to the stator teeth in the moving direction, and detecting the difference between the magnetic fluxes passing through the respective detecting coils from both leg parts. CONSTITUTION:Exciting coils 7a and 7b are wound on legs 6a and 6b of a magnetic material 6 in the same winding direction, and detecting coils 8 are wound on the central part of the magnetic material 6, the legs 6a and 6b being separated from each other by 1/2 pitch in the moving direction. Moreover, the magnetic material 6 has a central leg 6c between the legs 6a and 6b. When the magnetic material 6 moves with a rotor, and the leg parts face to a tooth, a current or voltage is induced in the detecting coils 8 by means of the magnetic fluxes passing through the respective leg parts. Thus, the value of the current or voltage induced in the detecting coils 8 is made proportional to the difference between the respective magnetic fluxes. Accordingly, said value varies according to the relative position between the leg parts 6a and 6b and a tooth 4a and changes in the sine-wave shape with the movement of the rotor. |
