PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which is fixable under low pressure and forms friction resistant images after fixing by using a wax type compound or ethylenic copolymer which is kept swollen by an org. solvent as a core material. CONSTITUTION:A wax type compound such as natural wax, amide type wax, fatty acids and their metallic salts, polyethylene glycol and its deriv., or low mol.wt. polyethylene and an ethylenic copolymer such as an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or an ethylene-acrylic copolymer are mixed under heating with a solvent such as toluene which swells at least part of these, and if necessary, magnetic powder, to form a dissolved dispersion which is then cooled under stirring, whereby a slurry is obtained. This slurry is used as a core material, and a capsule toner coated with shells is produced by a conventional known method such as a coacervation method. |
