<p>The profiled section is for the installation of insulating glass used in double-glazing, partic. for existing steel frame windows. It comprises a base profile section (2) with a main surface (4) to which an upright portion (5) is joined on one side incorporating a chamber (6) for a sealing strip (7). On the other side is a U-shaped chamber (8), open at the top, and with a wedge- section edge (9) formed on its inner arm on the inside. A glass strip (3) with an upright face (17) has a chamber (19) for a sealing strip (20), also a flange (21), whose edge (22) is angled so as to snap into engagement under the wedge-section edge under the spring action of the sealing strips (7,20) bearing against the insulating glass (23).</p> |
