摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of installation, make easier the operation of desulfurization, raise the rate of recovery of sulfur, and make better the regeneration of adsorbent used by a method in which the regeneration of the absorbent and the recovery of sulfur as a product are performed in one reactor and water vapor is blown into the reactor to prevent the occurrence of side reactions. CONSTITUTION:Flue gas 20 is sent from a flue gas inlet 3 to the first reactor 1, where the flue gas 20 is desulfurized by an adsorbent, e.g., coal, from an adsorbent inlet 4 and released as clean gas 21. The adsorbent with SOx is sent through an outlet 6, the first sieve 16, and a duct 18 into the second reactor 2, where part of carbon is burned by blowing an inert gas 24 and air 25 into the reactor to completely release adsorbed SOx and at the same time to form S by reducing SOx and carbon. Afterwards, water vapor 26 is blown into the reactor to lower the temperature of reaction, whereby preventing side reactions. The gas containing sulfur is sent through a duct 27 into a condenser to recover it in the form of liquid sulfur. The regenerated adsorbent is cooled, and then circulated through the second sieve 17 and a duct 19 into the first reactor 1, where coal 23 is supplied as a reducing agent.</p>
