PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a black body furnace and to enable to perform a mirror reflection type radiation temperature measurement, by a method wherein a radiometer and a reflection mirror are installed such that an object performs a mirror reflection of reflection radiant rays from a reflection mirror to input the radiant reflection rays to the radiometer, and this causes measuring of a radiant energy. CONSTITUTION:An object 10 is, for example, a heated strip which runs in a furnace. In this case, a reflection mirror 12 and a turning sector 14 are located outside the furnace, and the object 10 is positioned so that an operator can look in at the window 18 to watch it. The reflection mirror 12 and a radiometer 16 are located at the same angle theta at both sides of a normal line N-O erected on the object surface. The reflection mirror 12 is of a plane mirror, and is positioned crossing a straight line, which connects a point O and the reflection mirror, at right angles. The radiant rays proceeding to the radiometer 16 enters the radiometer 16 as it is, the reflection mirror 12 reflects the radiant rays proceeding to the reflection mirror 12, and the point O makes a mirror reflection of said rays which enter the radiometer 16. This prevent the incidence of back light noise, and enables to perform a self-reference type and mirror reflection type radiation temperature measurement in which a black body furnace is eliminated. |
