摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To lower the diffusion of odor from the surface of an accumulated layer and to prevent the odor from diffusing into the air, by sucking and collecting air, which was introduced through the bottom of an open fermentation vessel, outside the open fermentation vessel at a position lower than the surface of the accumulated layer of organic waste. CONSTITUTION:A suction pipe 7, in which a plurality of air-sucking holes 6 are opened, is provided along the side wall 8 of a fermentation vessel, to suck air by a suction blower 9 coupled to the suction pipe 7. The air-sucking holes 6 are directed obliquely downwards or downwards, so that a cavity 11 is formed with the settlement of accumulated material. Consequently, suction of the accumulated material can be avoided. Sucked and collected odor-containing air is deodorized by a deodorizer 10 and discharged into the air. Thus, an environment in a house surrounding the fermentation vessel can be kept under a good condition, and a ventilator or a deodorizer in the house can be miniaturized or neglected.</p>
