PURPOSE:To enable to generate information or signal sounds similar to one such as bird voices by means of a relatively simple circuit system consisting of ROM in which data of pause periods and basic sound interval frequency of the bird voice and the like are stored. CONSTITUTION:The output signal from a reference signal generator circuit 2 is divided by a frequency divider circuit 8 and the divided signals are supplied to a sound generator circuit 16. In ROM20 signals to set the pause period of information sounds from the sound generator circuit 16 and the for setting the basic sound interval frequency of the information sound are stored. An address counter 18 reads out the content of ROM20 due to the outputs of the generator circuit 2. The output of the circuit 2 is counted by a modulation counter 24, its counted value and the output of ROM20 are supplied to and operated in an operation circuit 26, and a division ratio of the divider circuit 8 is set in accordance with the operation result. Then the divided output is blocked at a gate 10 according to the pause period data of ROM20. Subsequently a false voice is enabled to be generated by the circuit 16.
