PURPOSE:To facilitate installation of a bumper to the car body with its side parts by arranging a protector piece between the back end face of the bumper-side and that flat part in the mounting area of the car body which is to mate with the back end face of the bumper-side. CONSTITUTION:A protector piece 5 is arranged between the back end face 3b of a bumper-side 3a and the flat surface 1a for mounting provided in the fender panel 1. A boss 6 formed at the base plate 5a of the protector 5 is inserted in a mounting hole 7 formed in said flat surface 1a, and the protector 5 is fixed also to this surface 1a. Then a guide pin 13 projecting from the base plate 5a is detained at a guide hole 14 provided in the back end face 3b; when the bumper-side 3a is pushed a detent 10 mounted on a fastener mounting part 9 formed at the base plate 5a is, under guidance of the guide face 12 of the protector 5, fitted in a hole 11 formed in the back end face 3b without hindrance. |
