A high pressure conduit 20 is connected to the housing 24 by means of a connector 28 comprising an inner sleeve 30 threaded on to the conduit and an outer sleeve 32 threaded into a socket 34 of the housing, a lip 38 on the outer sleeve engaging the rear end of the sleeve 30 to press a forward tapered end 40 of the conduit firmly against a tapered conical face 42 in the socket 34. The nozzle assembly 26 is secured to the housing by means of a screw threaded cap 58 and comprises a housing 52 having a counterbore 64 in which is mounted a nozzle element 66 and a resilient ring 68. The above apparatus may also be used to cut rock, stone or wood. |
