<p>The device comprises six shafts which are pivotably connected to a common head (1), four of which are pivotable through right- angles into a horizontal plane. The other two are pivotable through 180 degrees and can be locked together using two snap-acting clips in an attitude depending at right angles from the plane. The assembly defines a regular demi-octahedron form with a tension equilibrium device formed by an elastic member such as a coil spring upstanding on the head at right angles to the plane, being connected at its top end to the free ends of the four horizontal shafts by respective shrouds. Three reflecting rails are provided, one square rail being supported horizontally by the four horizontal shafts and two triangular sails vertically supported by two of the horizontal shafts and the vertical shafts.</p> |
