PURPOSE:To improve transfer efficiency even in an atmosphere of especially high humidity, by developing an electrostatic image formed on a charge retaining body made of a heat resistant resin with a developer having mold release characteristics, and impression transferring this developed toner image to a transfer material. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic image is formed on a charge retaining body 1 made of a heat resistant resin, especially a fluorinated resin, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (a heat resistant resin layer formed as a dielectric layer on a photoconductive layer of a photoreceptor, or a heat resistant resin layer formed as a dielectric layer on a conductive substrate), developed 3, and transferred 7. As a developer, a toner containing a copolymer of a styrene type monomer and another monomer having a good mold release characteristics or in addition a low molecular weight olefin polymer and/or an fatty acid metal salt, or the like, or especially a conductive magnetic developer using said polymer as a binder and having 10<5>-10<12>OMEGA.cm volume resistivity is used. After developing 3 the latent image with this toner, this toner image is transferred by heat impression to a recording paper 9 in a transferring section 7 with a roller 5 and a roller 8 having a built-in heat source 8a, thus permitting a good image to be formed independently of humidity. |
